Terms and Conditions – Limits of Liability

By allowing the Student to sharpen your knife(s), you agree to these Terms.

1. Nature of the Service
The sharpening service is performed by a Student who is in the process of learning and refining their skills. The service is provided free of charge to the Client as part of the Student’s educational and practice experience.

2. No Guarantees
There is no guarantee any specific level of sharpness or precision.

3. Assumption of Risk & Limitation of Liability
By submitting a knife for sharpening, the Client assumes all risks associated with the process, including but not limited to:

-Damage to the knife blade or handle.

-Reduction in the lifespan of the knife due to excessive material removal or other factors.

-Injury resulting from handling the knife before or after sharpening.

-The Student nor Steel & Stone Sharpening is not liable for any damages, whether direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential, arising from the sharpening process.

The Client waives all claims against the Student for loss, damage, or injury related to the sharpening service.

4. No Warranty
The sharpening service is provided “as-is” with no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose.

5. Indemnification
The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Student and Steel & Stone from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from the use of the sharpening service or the subsequent use of the knife.

6. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Texas.

7. Acknowledgment
By submitting a knife for sharpening, the Client confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
